MG Heavyarms Review

My next kit I plan on painting is going to be MG Heavyarms Ver Ka. I plan on just doing another OOB build with some slight changes to some colors, mainly the missiles and weapons.
This kit shouldn't take long to complete as their isn't too much too paint, but may be awhile before I do another update as I have another model coming in the mall which is the Kotobukiya Jehuty HD model which I want to build right away. So I may be working both on this kit and Jehuty at the same time.
For this kit itself,it is one of the newer MG kits out and it shows. Bandai did a great job on the part separating as the missiles and the outer areas are all different parts, so their is no need to mask them. The same goes for the blue lines on the chest which was a big win for me.
Another thing about this kit is the colors on the bare plastic which are dead on for the normal colors, so for people who don't paint their kits will be really happy with this kit as it looks really good unpainted.
There are a few seam lines on this kit that will need to be fix up if you plan on painting this kit. The big ones would be the main gun and the ammo pack on the back. This kit uses the new heads so you don't have to worry about the seam lines on the head like older MG.
The only bad things about this kit is the thread that connects to the ammo pack and the main gun is a pain to keep it in place as it keeps popping out of place for me. I will glue it into place once I paint this kit, but for now I just have it off. Another problem is that the hand cannot hold up the main gun that high as it will drop down a bit, but with both hands all wight issues are gone.
If you are looking for a good MG kit or a big fan of Gundam Wing, I highly recommend this kit.

MG RX-178 Gundam Mk.2

I am quite happy how this how this turn out in the end. When I first started putting this kit back together after being painted, I was really not liking the color scheme of the two blues together. But after putting the decals and the flat coat on, it looked much better then before.
For this kit, I mostly stay true to the titans color scheme, but made a few changes by adding more red in some areas and adding the bright blue on the color scheme. I also added in some chrome and gold in areas like the boosters and in some other some areas like on the back of the legs and the upper chest.
For mods, I did very little. Basically all I did was add some pla plate on the shoulder armor to give it a more heavy armor type look. I wanted to add more pla plate in other areas too, but due to mostly being lazy I ended up not doing that. I also cut out some tiny pieces of pla plate for the tiny cameras on the chest, the back of the head, and the rocket launcher.
The biggest change would be the two new added items I made for this kit. The first one would be the cloak, which a special thanks to Alex for helping me out with the cloak, and the second would be the custom made sword.

Anywho here is the final pictures:

MG Mk.2 Scratch Build Sword WIP

This is a WIP for the custom sword made for the RX-178 Mk.2 Gundam. I have finish the Mk.2 and everything else at this stage and will most likely be uploading the pics for that later today or maybe tomorrow.
Anywho, this nearly turn out perfect, the first side I superglue the black part to the blade, the glue got on some of the black paint and ruin it, but the other side turn out fine and will just pose it on the good side, so not a biggie.

So for the first step, I got a thick piece pla plate, about 3mm and using a pencil and a ruler draw out the basic design.

I used a metal ruler so the blade can't cut into it.
I then cut out the design using a hand saw as it is really hard for a hobby knife to cut that thick of pla plate unless it is really sharp. I prefer the hand saw over the hobby knife in this case.
I then draw out the design for the outer areas for the sword using a thin piece of pla plate (1mm) and cut it out.

The test blade I made before making my final one. The blade is uneven and same with the holes in the middle. I may weather it and used it as a well used blade for my Mk.2.

MG RX-178 Gundam Mk.2 WIP 5

At this point am I basically  all done this model. All I got to finish is the rest of the waterside decals and the flat coat. I am not too sure if I wanna do any weathering on this model, I might do some slight weathering but that will be it.
I am also not too sure on the color scheme at this point which is really bad thing as it is all painted. My idea of the two blues didn't quite work out the way I wanted it too, should have use a darker blue for the bright blue, but I am hoping that once all of the decals are on and the flat coat is applied I am hoping that it will look better.

HMM Blade Liger Review

Here is a little preview for the HMM Zoid Blade Liger. The Blade Liger was my 2nd ever HMM kit, and when I open the box for the first time my mouth drop due to the sheer number of runners this kit had. I think I counted about 50 runners for this kit which the normal MG Gundam kit has about 8-14 runners, so it has alot of runners and is comparable to a PG Gundam kit for runners. So if you don't like building kits with lots of parts, this is not gonna be your type of kit.
As for the price, like the Liger Zero Panzer, the shipping for this kit is quite pricey and is close to the amount you pay for the kit itself which sucks. But if you think about how big and heavy it is, it is understandable for the shipping cost. If anyone knows of a good place to buy HMM Zoid's models in Canada or the US, please let me know as I would love to get more of these kits.
For the kit itself, if you love Zoids, or any type of model's in general, you will love this kit. It has detail comparable to a PG and it is quite big as well. It is also very poseable, but like other HMM kits, be prepare for stuff falling off on you. I had tons of issues of the boosters/blade area coming off the body when moving it around. It is a easy fix thou, I will most likely glue it on after I paint it, which will fix the issue.
Like I said before, this kit is quite big, and very heavy which kinda surprise me to a point, but when you think of all of the parts on it, it makes sense. It towers over the gunsniper in size and mass, and is a little shorter then the average MG, but is much longer and has a bigger mass.
I highly recommend this kit if your looking for a zoid model, you wont be disappointed.
Anywho, here are some pictures of the kit unpainted:
